The ELAC Foundation views its growing number of programs as a way to reach out to the surrounding community. Primary beneficiaries with these communities are students. Whether the student is 10 years old or 70 years old, the Foundation will support them through its programs.

We aid students with the expense of books and tuition through our Scholarships program. This year three new scholarships were initiated (Monterey Park Hospital Nursing Scholarship, English Department Scholarship, and L & P Hamblin Social Work Scholarship) and we hope to continue to add new scholarships in the coming years.

Our support also extends encouragement for our younger students. We hope many will continue on to a college or university, whether at ELAC or elsewhere. One of our long running programs is the Jaime Escalante Math & Science Program. Named after the famous educator who was featured in the film "Stand and Deliver", the program helps 9th through 12th grade students begin the journey towards careers in math and science.
